Volunteer Your Time

One of the most generous gifts anyone can give is that of their time.

The Hospital’s corps of volunteers donates over 13,000 hours of their time, and conducts several successful fundraisers each year.  Some individuals serve on the Hospital’s Auxiliary while others serve as greeters or members of the Spiritual Care team.   Many can be seen greeting patients and visitors in the Hospital's main and south lobbies.

Whatever your interest, there is likely an opportunity for you to be part of our family of volunteers.  To learn more about the benefits and obligations of being a volunteer at the Hospital or one of its satellite sites, please contact Rev. Gail Conners, Volunteer Coordinator at 315.462.0142.

The "Pink Ladies"

Our corps of volunteers, long known as The Pink Ladies [and the Gentleman Greeters] is recognized by the Healthcare  Association of New York State (HANYS) for its contributions to the health and success of the Clifton Springs Hosptal community.

June, 2010 - The Clifton Springs Hospital Auxiliary has awarded its 2010 Gertrude Bates Memorial Scholarship to Devan Lapresi of Clifton Springs.  The $7000 scholarship is awarded each year to a Midlakes High School graduate who is entering a healthcare-related field of study.  The award is given in honor and memory of Miss Gertrude Bates, a former Director of Nursing at Clifton Springs Hospital & Clinic, who in 1959 co-founded the Clifton Springs Hospital Auxiliary, which has given more than 50 years of service to the Hospital and community.

Devan is the daughter of David and Connie Jo Lapresi of Clifton Springs.  She plans to attend St. John Fisher College in the fall to study nursing.
